GURU of GANG STARR
NEW YORK, NY
1997
“I got the address to Firehouse Studios where Guru was working and headed over. When I arrived, Guru’s face lit up,”Yo, whatcha doin’ here!” I explained I was just at Empire and they suggested stopping by and taking a few flicks.
Guru said, “COOL.”
Realizing I might have distracted his vibe, I moved to the corner of the studio to stay out of eye-shot of Guru’s working flow. After 20 minutes to a half hour of sitting around, I saw Guru was back in his zone. I got my camera out (Canon T-90), set a flash on a remote on the opposite side of the room.”
